My first degree was in Communications and Advertising Design and after I graduated I decided to follow my biggest passion at the time and travel the world by myself. My first trip was a mixture of a year and a half of settling and backpacking throughout Australia and SE Asia. It was at this time that I really honed my intuition and confidence in myself. Over the course of the next few years I found myself traveling solo to Asia, Africa, Europe, and parts of the Middle East. But throughout all of these trips I never really felt like I had a purpose. I saw all these amazing places and they gave me so much, but I didn't feel like I had given much in return. I wanted a skill I could take with me anywhere.

​In 2010 I decided to move across the country from NY to CA to begin my studies at Emperor's College in Santa Monica. I chose this school (the #2 nationally ranked acupuncture school at the time) and California because the state had the most stringent requirements and it is rumored that the California Acupuncture Licensing Exam (CALE) is the hardest in the nation. If I was going to start a new career, I wanted to do it in the most challenging and best place possible, that way I would be fully prepared and confident in my skills.

It was during this time that I had the opportunity to practice as an acupuncture intern at the Venice Family Clinic in Venice; Being Alive HIV clinic in West Hollywood; and the Roy and Patricia Disney Family Cancer Center at Providence Hospital in Burbank. I graduated from the program summa cum laude. After graduation I pioneered a successful acupuncture program at Rancho Santana in Nicaragua. I hold individual licenses, in both the state of California and nationally, as a Diplomate of Oriental Medicine. I've had a private practice in LA and the OC since 2016.
